Highlights from the TotalMD Dealer Event 2017 that occurred in October. In this post, read the recap and enjoy a nice trip down memory lane.

When it comes down to it, we gauge the success of our reseller events by asking ourselves the following questions:

1. Did the reseller gain a better understanding of the TotalMD software?
2. Does the reseller really understand how much we care about them?
3. Did the reseller make connections that will help their business?
4. Did the reseller have a fun experience at the event?

Based on this criteria, we felt the Dealer Event at the end of October was a resounding success!

For those that couldn’t make it, here are highlights to review from this event. For those that were there, just enjoy a trip down memory lane.

The TotalMD Dealer Event all started on Thursday night with a dinner reception at the world famous Rustler’s Rooste. Whether sliding down the indoor slide, dancing to the live music, wearing balloon hats, or sampling some of that “mouthwatering” authentic Rattlesnake with Prickly Pear Cactus Fries, the rooste is truly a unique Arizona experience.  What made it even more special was the dealers, the dealers’ guests, our third party partners, the TotalMD employees, and their spouses getting quality, face-to-face interaction with each other in a warm, cozy environment

Classes and Breakout Sessions

Friday morning started with breakfast at the hotel before the real fun began. And by real fun, we mean a day choked full of courses of course! Many classes by design aimed to help the resellers get more comfortable with the software and for the TotalMD to solicit their feedback. Some of the sessions from the day that excited the group most involved a sneak peak of the new features available in TotalMD 18 and seeing the new integrated text messaging and online / in-office kiosk (which allows patients to submit their information from home or in the office; then the office can view it, edit it, and approve it; that info goes straight into TotalMD without the office having to rekey all the information).

But the most likely session that peaked everyone’s interest was the preview of our completely redesigned EHR program. This program is not only more user friendly, but also more flexible. Additionally, it has much prettier clinical summaries!

The TotalMD Dealer Event classes and breakout sessions took a pause for a fantastic pizza-and-salad lunch at Cassanova Bros. This gave all attendees a chance to take a mental break out in the warm Arizona weather, bond with each other, and chat.

TotalMD Dealer Event Evening Activities

We then capped off the evening with a wild west BBQ and live entertainment at Rockin R’ Ranch. If the guests didn’t feel like they were in the wild, wild west yet, then they definitely did now.

Rockin R’ Ranch’s whole site looked like a scene from an old western film. We panned for gold, participated in a cowboy comedy show, and listened to some live singing and music with some great fiddling.

We even had some of our group up on stage taking a stab with their lassos.  After the dinner and the music, we witnessed a cowboy gun shoot-out in the middle of the old west town.

The Last Day at the Dealer Event

Saturday morning of the TotalMD Dealer Event we found ourselves gathered again for breakfast at the hotel before we began our last day (really it was just a half day) of classes like “Mastering the TotalMD Ledger” which helped everyone see why TotalMD has the best ledger in the industry and “Marketing TotalMD,” which really should have been changed to “Marketing to Millennials 101.”

We also gave everyone a sneak peek of some of the new TotalMD utilities like the Patient Merge tool, which allows patients to be merged into one record, or the practice dashboard, which allows users to see the finances of multiple practices from one screen or to search for a patient across multiple databases, and more.

Event Wrap Up

TotalMD’s real highlight involved listening to all of YOU. Particularly when one of the dealers presented as to why he exclusively sells TotalMD.

Some of the reasons that were mentioned included our “bullet proof data,” the fact that we really do care about our customers and our resellers, and TotalMD valuing integrity, respect, excellence, and service. It really gave us insight on what makes TotalMD stand out to dealers like you.

We ended the day with some amazing catered Mexican food from Boca Taqueria. While eating staple Arizona food, the dealers entered drawings for some great prizes like a mini projector, an echo dot, and more.

The TotalMD Dealer Event was a great experience for all who attended – thank you all who came! Based on our four goals we established for the meeting (as stated at the beginning of this article), we came away feeling the dealer event was a resounding success.
